Simple Future Tense

Simple = sederhana, future =masa depan atau akan datang. Simple future tense digunakan ketika kita hendak menunjukan kegiatan, kejadian atau peristiwa yang terjadi di masa depan atau akan datang.

Ciri-ciri Simple Future Tense

- Kita dapat mengenali kalimat Simple Future Tense dengan mengecek apakah ada kata "will, shall, atau tobe going to" diantara subjek dan kata kerja.
Ex :
I will go to market ( terdapat kata will )
They shall visit my house ( terdapat kata shall )
She is going to cook five minutes later ( terdapat tobe going to, "is" merupakan tobe dari subjek "she" )

- Tanda waktu yang biasa kita jumpai dalam bentuk ini antara lain ;
this aftenoon ( nanti sore )
tonight ( nanti malam )
tomorrow ( besok )
before ( sebelum )
after ( sesudah )
till ( hingga )
until ( hingga )
as soon as ( segera sesudah )
while ( ketika )
when ( ketika )
soon ( segera )
next week ( minggu depan )

Rumus Simple Future Tense

Jika ingin menggunakan will
(+) S + will + verb 1
(-) S + will not + verb 1
(?) Will + S + verb 1
Ex :
(+) He will be here tonight
(-) He will not be here tonight
(?) Will he be here tonight?

Jika ingin menggunakan shall
(+) S + shall + verb 1
(-) S + shall not + verb 1
(?) Shall + S + verb 1
Ex:
(+) I shall go to London tomorrow
(-) I shall not go to London tomorrow
(?) Shall I go to London tomorrow?

Jika ingin menyisipkan to be going to
(+) S + to be going to + verb 1
(-) S + to be not going to + verb 1
(?) To be + S + going to + verb 1
Ex:
(+) Kinos is going to swim with me next week
(-) Kinos isn't going to swim with me next week
(?) Is Kinos going to swim with me next week?
